Spring has officially arrived here in sunny Myrtle Beach, SC, as we eagerly gear up for the year’s first 80-degree day. There’s never an offseason for fun here at the newly-renovated and re-branded North Shore Oceanfront Hotel. Not only are we one of the newest Myrtle Beach resorts, but our guests have exclusive access to a pristine beach, a complimentary on-site waterpark, and superb on-site dining. North Shore Oceanfront Hotel also happens to be minutes away from the most popular spring activities, such as golfing, sunbathing, and kayaking. We’ve conveniently compiled five of our favorite spring activities, all of which are perfect on a sunny day in April, May, or early June!
Myrtle Beach Golf
It’s no longer a secret that Myrtle Beach is the premier golfing destination in North America. Myrtle Beach is known as the “Golf Capital of the World,” after all. With hundreds of top-rated, world-class Myrtle Beach golf courses to choose from, deciding where to play 18 holes this spring will be an exciting challenge! And luckily for you, North Shore Oceanfront Hotel offers guests a wide variety of Myrtle Beach packages that are geared toward golfers. Most of these packages include three of four rounds of golf at some of the premier courses in the world, including King’s North at Myrtle Beach National, TPC Myrtle Beach, and Tidewater Golf Club.
Sands Resorts Waterpark
There’s nothing better than a FREE outdoor waterpark! All guests at North Shore Oceanfront Hotel have complimentary access to Sands Resorts Waterpark, located next door at Sand Dunes Resort. Hop aboard an inner tube and float along the relaxing lazy river, rocket down a slippery waterslide, and get soaked by a giant swinging bucket! All in all, the waterpark has over 130,000 gallons of fun, excitement, and amusement.
Beach Day
There are too many possible beach activities to count, but why not try to do as many of them as you possibly can? A full day of beach relaxation and exploration is easily one of the most popular spring activities here at North Shore Oceanfront Hotel. Fly a kite, read a suspenseful novel, build a castle, go for a swim with the fish of the sea, and sunbathe under the golden South Carolina sun!
Kayaking Excursion
Our friends down at Kokopelli Surf Camp, located less than a mile from our newly-renovated oceanfront hotel, have the area’s largest fleet of kayak, SUP, and surfboard rentals. We recommend embarking on one of their three kayak tours. Choose between a three-hour island tour, a two-hour salt marsh tour, and a two-hour sunrise or sunset tour. If you’d prefer to explore the area’s most beautiful oceanic locales on your own, they provide hourly rentals that start at just $20!
Jet Skiing
Myrtle Beach Watersports has three locations in Myrtle Beach, including a locale approximately two miles from North Shore Oceanfront Hotel. There’s nothing quite like rocketing through our turquoise Atlantic Ocean waves on a speedy jet ski – the smell of the salty sea, the warm breeze in your hair, and the jaw-dropping natural beauty that comes with the territory. Jet skiing is easily one of our favorite spring activities, especially for thrill-seekers! You can rent a jet ski by the hour or join one of their many tours, including the dolphin-watching expedition, the “adrenaline tour,” and the family-friendly backwater adventure.
